I now ride a 2001 Suzuki SV650. I recently had the forks redone with RaceTech cartridge emulators and the rear suspension reworked with a Penske Double-Adjustable race shock. It's awesome!
Other stuff: Heated grips (www.hotgrips.com), and a nifty heated vest thermostat integrated into the right throttle housing from www.warmnsafe.com.
